Tips To Care For Your Pet Rabbit

Rabbits make great pets because of their friendly and inquisitive nature. I am happy that caressed or stroked, and over time a person can develop an interactive relationship with a large rabbit. Taking care of your rabbit, you’re doing a bit ‘so that it will lead to a long and happy life. Caring for the rabbit is fairly simple, but before buying a pet rabbit, read these quick tips and guides to see if they make the right choice.

Hutch
Each rabbit needs a cage, a place of their own to sleep and snuggle run and play. You do not have to spend a huge sum of money in your cage, but you have to buy one big enough for a rabbit-sized stand up (on hind legs). It should also be broad enough to allow the rabbit to jump at least four full-hops in all directions. Like us, like a rabbit to have a separate space for certain activities, so make sure to assign a place to sleep, toilet room and space to play. If you have more than one rabbit in the same cage, you will need to increase this space.

Food
Rabbits have a very simple but nutritious food specific. They need two types of fiber – indigestible and digestible. That’s because their food actually passes through their digestive system twice. Try to avoid mass market muesli type of food available, because they can be high in sugar and starch that can lead to weight gain, obesity and even diabetes.
